Myfreedom IT helps school meet green computing goals
Thursday 25th November, 2010 – Myfreedom supplies second user hardware to London school.
Myfreedom recently supplied 20 desktops for Fenstanton Primary School, one of the few schools to achieve the highest award available under the Eco Schools Programme. Eco-Schools is an environmental education programmes run internationally by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE).
Craig Harffey, CTO for The Myfreedom Group, says “We were delighted to see another organisation take a pragmatic approach to their technology spend. For the majority of uses, second user equipment makes sense from both a financial and ecological perspective. With the production of a new PC having the biggest environmental impact, extending its lifespan is the obvious goal.”
“With computer power running so far ahead of our needs in education, we recently took the view that we could better meet the needs of pupils by buying second user corporate grade computers.
We are delighted that we chose to use Myfreedom as our partner. We clearly share many of the same values and are delighted with every aspect of the service we received and look forward to expanding the relationship in the future”
Tim Fahy, School Business Manager
